Your site’s promotion motto should always be “work smarter, not harder” and one of the most effective ways of making that motto a reality is by creating a site affiliate program for your site. A site affiliate program offers others commissions for selling your products and services. This concept offers low overhead as many of your affiliates already have websites that they use for promotion, so the more affiliates you have promoting your products and services means more traffic to your website, which means more sales.
There are many simple affiliate scripts and applications that are ready to use, and chances are your web host already offers them for your use. Once you have your affiliate program ready to run, as you will need to create the market materials, you will want your affiliates to use it in their marketing plan. Another powerful benefit from using an affiliate program is that your site will receive relevant incoming links from your affiliate sites.

Once your marketing materials are ready, to kick off your program you will need to gain attention from your potential affiliates. This is performed buy posting your program in related blogs, forums, and Internet promotion sites. It is a good idea to write a few announcements for easy cut & paste publishing. Don’t get too elaborate. Be energetic, emphasizing the money that can be made in commission and keep to the point by adding a link to your affiliate pages on your site. Keep in mind that getting your affiliate program out on the Internet and in front of your potential affiliates could take some time, so don’t get discouraged, and be patient.
Here is a list of some of the top high traffic announcement sites: Alumbo, Articles 911, Article Alley, Article City, Article Dashboard, Award Sites, Bureau of Labor Statistics, BOC Online, BPubs, Business Know How, Buzzle, Digital Women, Ezine Articles, FreeEzineContent, Ideamarketers, Jogena’s, Marketing Seek, New Parents Guide, Power Home Business, Self Growth, Sideroad, Top Ten, Web Hosts Online, Web Reference, Web Source, Writers Write, Zinos.
There are also many public forum sites such as Yahoo, Google, and MSN that have topic based groups in which you can place a message about your affiliate program. A quick search in Google will give you additional resources that you can use to promote your affiliate program. Do not forget that each promotional message that you post is an additional potential incoming link to your site, so your site promotion is already in a win-win situation.

There are many ways to build popularity for your website from sources outside the Internet. One method is getting promotion articles from local newspapers. Newspaper articles are a powerful means of promotion for your website because there are two distinct kinds of promotion that can be generated from a few simple newspaper stories. The first is the publicity from the article itself, and second is the “word of mouth” buzz that is generated as people who have read the newspaper articles relate it to their family, friends and co-workers.
To put this type of promotion into action you will need to develop a promotional activity in your local community that is news worthy and then create a press release to be submitted to your local newspaper to build interest and excitement. There are a few ways to go about this. One such way would be to organize a free seminar and enlist local citizens to help plan and run the event.
http://onewaylinkexchange.net/members/register.php
You could offer a few of your products and/or services as door prices or as raffle prizes, and to aid in building interest and excitement in the event you could ask other local business to get involved by offering free food or donating prizes as well. Another idea would be to run a non-profit event with the proceeds going to a worthy local charity or organization. This is sure to get a lot attention from the press! At any rate you will want to involve as many people as possible to reduce the cost of the event and help spread it out among those involved. A well planned event could be run without any out of pocket expense on your part. Be creative and always encourage others to get involved.
This method does require a bit more work and planning than most typical promotional techniques, but the exposure and publicity your site will gain make this well worth the effort.
Once you have decided on the type of promotional event you wish to conduct, while you are planning the event you will need to write a press release and get it to your local newspaper as soon as possible. Many newspapers will want to cover the event and will almost always write more than one article about the event as its preparations are underway, and on the days of the event itself. If your event goes well, you can count on a spill-over effect in promotion from the newspapers as well as other news sources.

Every Webmaster and site owner knows that having quality relevant incoming links is a top priority in achieving prominent placement on the SERPs, but building natural inbound links takes time.
Having trust and authority associated with your website from fewer high PR sites is better than having many low PR incoming links, and is also an easy way to build quality incoming links to your site. It is also important to build authority and trust by writing keyword rich articles, and by publishing them article websites.
http://onewaylinkexchange.net/members/register.php
There are many benefits your site will enjoy by writing keyword rich articles and publishing them:
1. All of the top rated articles sites are already well established and have high authority with the major search engines.
2. Article publishing sites are already highly optimized to achieve prominent SERP placement for the content on their sites.
3. Your site can develop many more natural inbound links from your article on the publishing site and from other sites that use your article on their site. It is a requirement to keep URL links from the author in tact.
4. As your site gains authority from your published articles, other sites will link to your sites content to help make their more useful to their site visitors.
To achieve the highest results from your published articles, you should always write on topics and use relevant keywords and phrases throughout your article. Another good idea is write at least 5 or 6 articles at a time and then publish them to different article sites. This will allow you to see which sites get your articles indexed on the SERPs the fastest, and you can publish more articles to those sites first. But keep publishing articles to many different sites because the idea is to get incoming links from multiple sites of trust and authority. And you should always modify your URL links to different pages on your site to keep your links looking natural.

If you could read the minds of your web customers then you would know exactly what they want and the information they need to see on your website that will make them buy your product or service. This may seem far fetched to some people, but the fact of the matter is that the more you know about your customer and their needs the better your chances of making more sales. Your website needs to have the most relevant content presented in a manner that captures and engages your potential customer, and by tailoring your site around the needs of your customers, your website will be an automated selling tool!
So now the question is, how do you design your site’s content to meet your customer’s needs? The answer is easy: ask them!
http://onewaylinkexchange.net/members/register.php
If you already have a website then ask some of your family and friends to look at your site and give you their honest opinion. Ask them what they consider important and what they are looking for when making buying decisions. Ask a lot of questions and take notes. It is also a good idea to go outside of your circle of family and friends and get ideas and opinions from people you do not know.
Major corporations spend millions of dollars in marketing research with focus groups to fine tune the details of their websites, and every aspect is explored to ensure that each element of the site is geared to present useful easy to understand content.
The things to consider are: layout, color, font type and size, navigation, link menus and any other element that could hinder the overall functionality and usefulness to your potential customers. The wording of your site’s content is all a key factor, and incorrect wording or false information could chase customers away.
